kids in the lab

yesterday was one of those fantastic days where you managed to be super productive and smiling despite the rain. we had about 20 kids, ages 4-early teens, come visit the lab. they were super excited to play with the markers and check out how our motion capture cameras work. it is so much fun to able to share this stuff with them.

for them the kids, being in the lab and seeing what we were doing was kind of like watching video games. saturday night, eric and i and a bunch of our friends had actually headed to dave & buster's for a little gaming ourselves (pictures still need to be uploaded). i love skee ball.

i think i finally figured out what i was going to do race-wise this year. i'm thinking headlands 50-miler in early august followed by wasatch 100 in early september. i'm excited. i've been getting some barefoot run mileage in, but its so interesting because my calves are sore afterward, which didn't happen when i first started running in my vibrams. go figure.

in other news, i'm in the process of tracking down a house. i found a 6 bdrm duplex basically right across the street from where i currently live and a bunch of people from church are interested in renting it with me for next school year. keep you fingers cross that it works out!
